Golf swing motion

How frustrating is it that you can get out on a golf course and you realize that your swing is not as good as it could be, or once was? As with any sport, getting away from the game and coming back can leave some rust on that takes a little bit to wear it off. Part of wearing it off is realizing that there can be one thing a little messed up in a huge list of potential problems. Whether it is posture or how you are holding your club, it can be a real headache.

To really figure out the problems, you have to look at your golf swing motion. With some experience, you can perhaps find what the negatives and positives of your game are. As you probably already realized, the golf swing motion is just the act of swinging your golf club towards (and should be through) the golf ball in an effort to force the ball down the fairway and onto the green.

One of the biggest mistakes is trying to swing your golf club too fast. Golf is a game of finesse. If you are struggling to swing your golf club, you are probably not being consistent in the necessary mechanics of how a golf swing should be. Therefore, it is a common reason that would produce poor results. You simply have to refer to the basics of how a golf swing should be, slow your swing down, and once you are getting a good swing you will find that your scores will be better too.

My recommendation for anyone who is trying to wear some rust off is to really just slow down the pace and analyze your swing. Go through the motion several times; looking at the specific factors I am sure you have read about it countless times (posture, head down, follow through, etc.). You should do this until you feel confident your swing is being done properly, then give it another shot!
